Kendrick definitely delivered in 2012 with his album “good kid, m.A.A.d city” which by the way when it dropped every rapper tweeted about it and congratulated him on the release which I’ve never seen ever in my life. Not much of an stretch. But yea. He’s seemingly the 1st rapper who came in a while without a gimmick. That ruin him over time. Minus being signed to a mainstream label.
seems about right. he deserves it imo. hes on interscope btw, so he got that mainstream label part down.
I ment that as in, being on a mainstream label might ruin over time. Seemingly most artists are better without mainstream labels. Fabolous mixtapes seems better than his albums. Chamillionaire same, not many creative artists stay creative under mainstream labels.
