Diverse Hip Hop

I know it’s been awhile, forgive me. But now we are finally back and we start off with The Queen B being the first artist to land on Flop City in 2012. We ended off Flop City last year with Soulja Boy and we now have a new target. After beefing with the biggest female rapper in the game (Nicki Minaj) Lil Kim hardly has any buzz or anything to show from it. Check out what I got to say about her after the jump.

Well know Lil Kim is a legendary female MC, but in today’s time, most of the young hip-hop listeners have no clue who she is or why Nicki Minaj is even beefing with her. That’s where the problem starts, she isn’t relevant in today’s time and sadly Kim thinks she is popular. A prime example is when Lil Kim said her “Black Friday” mixtape sold over 1 million copies via PayPal. I can’t being to tell you how delusional she is, she just can’t admit that she isn’t relevant at all. So she decided to lie to the public.

Now after beefing with Nicki Minaj for stupid reasons like Nicki not paying homage. Nicki did pay homage, as a matter of fact she’s said in countless interviews that she respects Lil Kim, but even after Nicki says that Kim still attacks her. In my eyes that’s a desperate attempt to get Nicki’s attention and to actually be relevant for a change. Nicki eventually responded and murked her in an interview saying “When she gets on the Billboard Charts, then I’ll respond with a track.” with that response Nicki ethered the shit outta her. Eventually after Kim was constantly attacking Nicki, she dropped a countless diss tracks, my personal favorite was “Tragedy“.

After getting slaughtered by the hottest female MC in Hip-Hop, Kim still tries to play it off as if nothing happened. She decides to drop a couple of singles ( “Keys To The City“, “If You Love Me“) and or “random tracks” she claims and they all end up flopping. On top of that interviewers ask her when she is dropping her next album, she continues to say soon and never gives a release date. While Nicki is dropping hit singles and selling albums. Kim blamed it on her recent record label issues on why she hasn’t dropped an album, we all know it isn’t because of that. It’s because she can’t remain relevant at all, she had to have surgery just to remain relevant in the news. The last album she dropped was in 2005, which is a damn shame.

Overall let’s be honest here, Lil Kim probably won’t ever claim the crown again. I don’t see her dropping a new album and actually making it on the charts. She had a really good run, she is still a legend in my eyes as long as she doesn’t go at more female rappers and lies to the public. Bottom line, get your shit straight Kim and bring your A game on this next album (if it ever drops) because if you don’t best believe your IT Clown deformed lookin’ ass face is outta here.
