50 Cent lands at the #9 spot on our list for the Top MC’s of 2011. From dropping countless freestyle tracks (enough to make 2 mixtapes) to dropping a full mixtape “The Big 10″ and being featured on countless hit songs, 50 Cent is still in the rap game and people keep counting him out. Check out why he made the #9 spot after the jump.
2011 High Points:
- Dropping countless freestyles from SK freestyles to SMS Freestyles, enough material to make 2 mixtapes
- Dropped a highly successful mixtape “The Big 10″ downloaded approximately over 1 million times. (50 Cent’s Facebook Numbers)
- Hopped on countless hit songs from other artists such as Nicole Scherzinger (Right There), Jeremih (Down On Me), Mann (Buzzin), Lloyd (Let’s Get It In) and more.
Top Tracks:
- Jeremih and 50 Cent’s “Down On Me” – landed on the #3 spot for Billboard Hot 100, went 2x platinum.
- “I Just Wanna” ft. Tony Yayo – Landed on Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop charts with no promo.
- “Put Ya Hands Up” – Landed at the #1 spot for YouTube’s most viewed videos for 2 days, ranked up 5 million views in less than 3 days.
Now a lot of people hate on 50 Cent for no reason and are wondering how he even landed at the #9 spot. First this guy dropped over 30 freestyles from the SK and SMS series and that’s enough to make 2 mixtapes. Then the whole 2010 and 2011 he was jumping on other people’s tracks and one being Jeremih’s “Down On Me” which landed at the #3 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 list and went on to go 2x platinum. Aside from jumping on other artists tracks he even dropped a full mixtape entitled “The Big 10″ which featured 10 tracks that were intended to be on his new album. He introduces his new artists Kidd Kidd and Paris on the tape as well as Tony Yayo. The tape was downloaded over 1 million times and still counting and generally received well reviews. On top of all of that he still managed to do his business thing and released his new headphone line “SMS Audio” and his new “Street King” initiative to help feed 1 Billion people in Africa. With all of this being said I feel like a lot of people count him out on a lot of things and still think he doesn’t have it. In 2011 he proved that he still does and I expect something big this year.

fuck out of here with this list
